It’s fitting that the second season of The Grand Tour ended with what was probably my favorite episode so far. The Mozambique mini-special had everything that I loved about the boys; cheap cars, lots of mishaps, and an incredible foreign location.
Sure some of the gags were a bit too obvious (like diesel smoking the fish in Jeremy’s truck), but overall, this episode served as a reminder of why we love the “travel show” type of specials so much. It was very reminiscent of the classic specials of Top Gear such as Vietnam and Bolivia.
So how did the internet feel about the episode? Let’s take a look!
Guys, I've adored TG for 15 years and have loved #TheGrandTour since its inception.. and this is the first time I've EVER disliked a shred of your content. Even for tongue-in-cheek absurdist yuks, I found the premise of this Africa special to be condescending and in poor taste. pic.twitter.com/YOjQrZumA5
