New Ford Bronco Teases Its Off-Road Capability In Latest Video

With the new Ford Bronco edging ever closer to its debut later this year, the marketing department is slamming down the throttle on its promo for this new generation of off-roader. Its latest release shows a Bronco test mule giving it all its got in the Majove Desert.

Driven by off-road expert and racer Brad Lovell, the Bronco is forced over dirt roads, rocky terrain, and the open sands of the desert at quite a pace. The 4×4 does such things with ease while showing off its high ground clearance and suspension travel.

Details are still light, but Ford is adamant to tell us that “experts are busy testing and proving out the all-new Bronco’s powertrain and rugged chassis in an experimental prototype vehicle.” It also reminded us that the body-on-frame SUV the T6 underpinnings of the popular Ranger.

Like the Jeep Wrangler, we expect the SUV to feature doors and a roof that can be removed, plus both two and four-door variants should be available.

Its powertrain is still currently being kept secret, but we expect it to be fitted with a four-cylinder EcoBoost unit with the entry-level variant producing around 270bhp, and the highest output of 325bhp being produced from a six-cylinder. While a manual gearbox is likely, a ten-speed automatic transmission gearbox is expected.

We can’t wait to lean more about the Bronco, so make sure you stick around to hear about future updates as they’re released.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: alex@grandtournation.com
